I do not have a Facebook account. Does this make me a cyber outcast? I wonder what the world is like for those that have become fully "linked" in and base a lot of their interests on what is "liked" the most on-line. Am I missing out on true social time or am I connecting the old school way and doing just as well? I wonder how long I can hold out. I have received comments about sharing pictures, news, and reconnecting with others through Facebook but I still haven't gotten pulled in. Now I get things about Linked in. How does anyone find the time to keep up with all the latest updates and innovations to truly call themselves connected? Would I have known a long time ago that neon was back again? Old fashions come back into style so maybe I should just hang in there for this trend to end.

  1. Facebook is a little overrated! You are not a social outcast for not having a facebook account. I have an account, i use it to keep in contact with friends from highschool and college, many of which I probably would not communicate with if I was not on facebook. I like to share pics as well as look at my FB friends pictures, but I do not log my every move on my facebook account.

  2. I am very surprised that you don't have a Facebook. Although it can be overrated and dramatic at times. I love it! I am able to keep in touch with many people from high school and college that have moved away. I love seeing pictures of my friend's children as they grow up. I think you should give in, as long as you don't get wrapped up in the drama aspect of Facebook.

  3. I'm not sure how people keep up with this all. They must not be in Grad School. I do have a Facebook account, but can't bring myself to use it. Right after I signed up it was fun, finding and reconnecting with old friends, but it quickly became slightly addictive and made me feel like I was back in high school. I have not accessed my account in months.
